Have you ever watched a cooking duel? Probably not, so you can come to Siena to join “Doppio Fuoco. Chef vs blogger: sfida ai fornelli” a series of events every month until May which have as main course the delicious Senese cuisine, a mouth-watering invite to book a place and taste the menu realized by the two competitors.
The schedule includes 5 shows cooking with tastings and brief cooking classes, besides the dinners at the restaurants of Siena; the protagonists will be the chefs and food bloggers who will compete with traditional dishes of Siena and typical dishes from the blogger’s region. You will be the judge of the contest giving an opinion on the menus, so the challengers will do their best to prepare appetizing dishes.
The next meeting is on Thursday March 6th with the duel between the chef Marco Frambati and the blogger Anna Gentile (Anna the nice), the next day they meet at the Consorzio Agrario di Siena, where all the cooking shows will be hosted, a must for all foodies who want to see in action prestigious chefs and blogger passionate about cooking in a city that boasts excellent DOCG wines and top olive oil.
This is the complete schedule of the challenges:
Thursday March 6th at 8:00 pm, the chef Frambati against blogger Anna Gentile at the restaurant Le Sorelline.
Friday March 7th at 5:30 pm, show cooking at the Consorzio dedicated to bread.
Thursday March 20th at Osteria del Gusto the chef Franco Terrosi and Aurelia Bartoletti blogger at Profumi in cucina will be the protagonists of the competition.
Friday March 21th at the Consorzio Agrario, Marina Munari of Hostaria the Rio and Aurelia Bartoletti will show you how to cook the Chianina with long cooking.
Thursday April 3rd at the restaurant San Desiderio duel in the kitchen between Gianni della Coletta and Marina Bogdanovic (Mademoiselle Marina) who will join the show cooking on Friday April 4th about sushi Chianina with Jin’s Maeda from Sushi bar in Siena.
Thursday, May 8th Andrea Vavala of restaurant Corner meets Greta de Meo of Greta’s corner, then she will meet chef Nico Atrigna of Le Logge restaurant on May 9th for the last challenge, a culinary tribute to the host institution, the Consorzio Agrario.
