Due to the success of cultural events that have taken place in the last months in Siena, in June there are many guided tours, itineraries and meetings with artists recommended to who is looking for the genuine side of this town.
Would you like to organize your next trip to Siena planning which places to see and which initiatives to join? These are our suggestions: every Wednesday, since 4th June and up to 30th September, the guided tour “Taste Siena” offers the unique chance to learn more about the artistic heritage and, at the same time, the local gastronomic delights.
It starts at 1:30 pm at the Consorzio Agrario of Siena seat, at Via Pianigiani 9, and includes a tasting of typical products, the screening of a movie that shows the route to follow in the historic center. The guided tour follows in the afternoon and includes the main squares, churches and palaces of this very popular destination in Tuscany.

Every Friday and Sunday at 11:00 am you can join the guided visits to the complex of Santa Maria della Scala, whereas on first and third Tuesday of the month you can book a route to the Fonte Gaia by Jacopo della Quercia, at 3:00 pm, the monumental fountain located in Piazza del Campo; the guided tours ernating with the itinerary “Siena. Story of the city from its origins to the Middle Ages” on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, and on Thursdays at 3:00 pm you can continue the travel experience going to the Archaeological Museum and “The Treasure” at the Santa Maria, associated with the library Giuliano Briganti, a unusual venue that it is better to visit by a committed route.
About Palazzo Pubblico, don’t forget the date of 22nd June because it’s the exclusive opportunity to join the guided tour “Stanze Segrete” (Secret Rooms), the visit of the secret rooms of the palace usually closed to the public, to book a tour use the following contacts: 0577 286300, sienastanzesegrete@operalaboratori.com.
Finally, throughout June and July are scheduled guided tours of the exhibition “Ántron – Divinità etrusche tra inferi ed estasi, Genesi pittorica dell’Europa” by Michael Franke, the author will be present during the tour.
