September, for many people, is the beginning of a new phase and it’s an opportunity to do activities different from the habitual.

The secrets of the artists of the XVIII century
In the XVIII century there were many artists who gave made a major contribution to the history of Siena and it’s interesting to know more following a night itinerary on Thursday, 10th September at 9.30 pm.
The starting point is Piazza del Campo, from here you can start on a trip that includes wonderful palaces, theaters and gardens, related to the careers of people like Senesino (Francesco Bernardi), opera singer, Bernardino Perfetti, poet and academic, and Vittorio Alfieri, writer and playwright who lived temporarily in Siena.

The colors of books in Bagno Vignoni
The town of Bagno Vignoni is the breathtaking set that host the event I colori del libro, a festival where to meet writers and visit the market fair of ancient, used and rare books.
The initiative will take place on Saturday 12th September from 2:00 pm to 0:00 and on Sunday 13th from 10:00 am to 0:00; to report, in particular, the reading of Francesco Bianconi (singer of Baustelle, a very popular Italian band), who will read excerpts from his book La resurrezione della carne.
During the festival, furthermore, there will be workshops for kids, a nice idea if you are on holiday with young children.
Cracking Art invades Siena
From 9th September to 31st October, you can see the streets of Siena populated by bizarre creatures: it is not about aliens but the colorful sculptures designed by the laboratory of international artists Cracking Art.
These sculptures, depicting many kinds of animals, will be set up in the following areas: the Medicea Fortress, Parco della Rimembranza (Fontana di San Prospero) and in front of the church of San Domenico. In addition, more than 100 retailers at the historical center have joined the project and will showcase these sculptures for the entire duration of the event.
