The most feared question these days is undoubtedly “what do you do on New Year’s Eve?”. To answer this question, we show you the events scheduled in Siena between December 31st and January 1st, to celebrate the arrival of 2018 with joy.
The tradition of New Year’s Eve in Piazza del Campo continues with a free concert and a dj set, in addition to other events around the town.

In Piazza Giacomo Matteotti you can start to celebrate from 7:00 pm at Bar La Favorita, which offers an aperitif with DJ sets and a dinner from 8:30 pm, followed by the celebrations in the square from 11:00 pm until late.

The most popular Senese club Un Tubo, at Vicolo del Luparello 2, organizes the dinner (info and reservations calling the phone number 0577 271312, or by sending an email to circolo@untubo.com) and a free entrance party from midnight with Leo Tolu, recommended for who wants to dance in one of the most fashionable venues in Siena.
The main event is, of course, the party at Piazza del Campo. Under the Torre del Mangia there will be the concert of Bandabardò, a group that has a long and successful career full of artistic collaborations (among others Litfiba, Daniele Silvestri, CSI, Max Gazzè, Paola Turci, Patty Pravo, Modena City Ramblers) and that will play from 11:00pm onwards, then take a break at midnight for the toast and resume until 1:30 am.
The party will start at 10:00 pm with the folk music dj set by Mattia Capitani, then we will continue to dance at the end of the concert with the set of “Ghiaccioli e Branzini”, based on electronic sounds, blues and jazz tracks.
Those who prefer to attend an event on the afternoon of January 1st, may attend the concert of Spirit of New Orleans Gospel Choir, an ensemble of 11 musicians coming from the gospel groups of the Baptist churches in New Orleans and Louisiana. The concert will start at 2:00 pm at Piazza del Campo and is the best way to start the year with joy, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the town of Palio.
