It’s autumn, the days grow shorter but it is a good time to plan trips and explore destinations you already visited to discover lesser-known spots.
For example Siena, where in November you can follow exclusive events dedicated to a curious and demanding public.

If you like musical performances, art and wine tasting, you shouldn’t miss „Seven Notes in Seven Nights“, scheduled every Thursday from 9:00 pm at Palazzo Pubblico.

The preview will be held on Wednesday 26th October, at free admission: you can follow a guided tour of Magazzini del Sale, where there is the exhibition „Beyond The Lens“, a selection of the best photos of the Siena International Photography Awards 2016.
Inside the Civic Museum there will be the wine tasting organized by the Enoteca Italiana and the concert, in the Sala del Mappamondo (Hall of the Globe), by Leonardo Ricci, who will perform music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Paganini on violin, and Francesco Fiorenzani, who will perform improvisations on guitar.

The schedule includes seven events, from 3rd November to 1th 5 December, from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm, every Thursday, a focus on the treasures of the Civic Museum, described by an original perspective. Guided tastings will be dedicated to 5 DOCG wines of Terre di Siena and the IGP most appreciated delicacies such as Panforte and Ricciarelli.
Each event will end with a concert of the students of two prestigious schools in the city, the Siena Jazz Foundation and the Institute Rinaldo Franci.

The Civic Museum, located inside Palazzo Pubblico in Piazza del Campo, is one of the most appealing attractions in Siena, due to works of art like: The Majesty (1315) and the Guidoriccio da Fogliano (1328) by Simone Martini, The effects of Good government in the city and in the countryside and the Allegory and the effects of bad government (1339-39) by Ambrogio Lorenzetti, the cycle Virtù Dei e Uomini Illustri (Virtues, Gods and Illustrious Men) by Taddeo di Bartolo in the Antechapel.
These masterpieces will be explained, together with other works, by expert guides able to engage visitors revealing stories, anecdotes and curiosities about Siena.
