Christmas holidays are just arrived and, as usual, we propose events will enliven the night of December 31st and the day of January 1st to warmly welcome 2017 surrounded by the beautiful Siena’s landscape!
On Saturday 31st December, parties will start early, on 12:00 pm, with the first of a long series of free concerts in Piazza del Campo: this year, in fact, there will be the festival Siena Rock ‘n’ Roll Swingers, including performances by bands that will play r’n’r, swing, jazz, ’60s Italian beat, Caribbean music and delta blues.
The first set will feature the Moonrays Quartet, the last set will be a DJ set by The B-side Vinyl Quartet, from 2 to 4 am, while the main concerts will be at 11:15 pm with the Jaguari and half past midnight with The Uppertones.

On Sunday will perform musicians of Siena Jazz Ensemble, the prestigious local jazz academy jazz, who will play in the afternoon of 1st January.
On the evening of December 31st other events in different areas of the historic center are scheduled, such as Piazza della Posta, where the Bar La Favorita is organizing a party with dj set and a dinner inside the bar. For reservations, please call 348/7925528 or write to lafavoritabar@gmail.com.
At Via Pantaneto, from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am, there will be a party with live music, thanks to the New Street Stompers Band and other Sienese musicians will enliven the streets of the district.
Un Tubo, the beautiful live club that we have already recommended in the article Where to listen to live music in Siena, offers a free admission party from 00:30 am onwards, a great opportunity to dance all night long in one of the most distinctive venues in town.

About the collateral events, on 31st December you can also join in a guided tour, Unusual Siena: City Planning Beyond The Walls Between XIX and XX century, a guide to the discovery of the changes happened in the last two centuries in all the districts of Siena.
