A topic which isn’t discussed when people recommend Siena as a destination for a trip is its nightlife: this is because actually Siena isn’t renowned as a town full of clubs, concerts and events at night, however there are some clubs in the historic center offering many activities throughout the year, so we thought to suggest you what to do in town in the evening, perhaps after spending the day visiting museums, churches and Contrada.
November is good to explore Siena also in the evening, thanks to the series of events Sette Noti in Sette Notti (Seven notes in Seven Nights), now came at its third edition, and hosted by the Civic Museum on Thursday evening.
Wine bars and pubs in Siena
La Corte dei Miracoli is a popular club in town, it is located at Via Roma 56, near Porta Romana, and is a cultural non-profit organization that organizes concerts, DJ sets, theater shows and, during the day, language courses and other cultural activities.
The events take place mostly on weekends and you can watch live here both local and international artists.
Un Tubo jazz club, opened some years ago, is a venue where you can listen to jazz concerts, drinking DOC wine and enjoying the exhibitions of contemporary art hosted inside. The club was designed by the Senese architect Marco Pignattai and is a very cool venue for live gigs.
Cacio & Pere, located at Via dei Termini 70, is a pub that usually hosted dj sets and live music, to get along with aperitifs and other enogastronomical delights.
Despite the fact that the wine in Tuscany is the main product on the table, we suggest the pub La Diana, offering craft beers in the center of Siena. The address is via della Stufasecca, 1, the pub also organizes concerts during the week, a valid choice for those who want to taste a golden ale or beer flavored with gingerbread.
7 notes for 7 nights at the Civic Museum
From 5th November to 17th December, every Thursday you can join the guided tours to the Civic Museum, opened for the occasion from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Each tour will be different because it is dedicated to a single work of art, so every event is unique: then there will be wine tastings of Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and other local delights, while concerts of classical music and jazz will take place at this wonderful museum in Piazza del Campo.
The ticket price is 6 €, for information and reservations you can contact the phone number 0577 292420 223 -226 or send an email to museocivico@comune.siena.it.
